“Tex: Vampire Hunter” is finished.
I had to wait a couple of days before posting this, because after working on this film for so long, it hasn’t really sunk in yet. But yes, Tex is finished, done, complete.
I’ve sent it off to a couple film festivals already.
A screening for cast and crew is in the works.
Old Spice commercial
A couple of guys from the Tex crew, and the lead actor himself, Rodrigo Demedeiros, have made a very funny spot for old spice.

Editing
It’s been a while since my last post. My apologies, dear reader. Post-production is probably the least understood part of the filmmaking process. There are no bright lights and glamour, no beautiful actors, no thrill of shooting, and no sleep. It’s just a couple guys in a room, slaving away on computers.
Final day of production: dead priest, stabbed corset, blood everywhere
And so we come to the end of our show. We shot pickups and leftovers from other scenes and a closeup effects shot.
Today I watched someone willingly jump through a tempered glass window.
We spent several hours setting up this shot, and got it in one take. We shot at 48fps, so it’ll come out as a half-speed slow motion.
Will Carson is our stunt man. He is truly dedicated to his craft, which is another way of saying he’s fucking insane. Even with all of the safety precautions we took, when it comes right down to it, he’s still jumping through a big sheet of tempered glass. This man is a badass. The pictures below only give an idea of how cool this looked. I can’t wait to see the footage.
