“Tex” Accepted for Competition: BIFF

I received the following short but exciting message:

Dear Lautaro, Congratulations, your film was accepted into competition for the 2010 Beloit International Film Festival. More info to follow! Rod Beaudoin Executive Director

A little research shows that BIFF, which takes place in February, has already earned a place as an important film festival. It’s compared to the early days of Sundance, and attracts lots of producers and agents and film royalty like John Voight.

On the other hand I have a somewhat unpleasant personal history with the town of Beloit, and Wisconsin in winter is ungodly cold.

But then again,
John Voight

Hey man, wanted to check out your stuff online because I’ve read – & replied to – your posts about Beloit on WAB. Read this post, which reads well, then scrolled down to see this shot of Voight and laughed out loud! It’s a sexy shot to be sure, but it’s a hilarious cap to the serious “unpleasant personal history…then again…”
Looking forward to meeting you and the spunky redhead!
