“Tex” auditions

Today we held our auditions, for 10 hours straight. I was very impressed with just about everyone who came out (there are always a few duds), and their passion for the project. It seems like people are eager for a real vampire movie, especially after the crapfest that was Twilight. It’s going to be very hard to decide who’s best for each role; there were so many strong auditions… and lots of really good-looking people!

LOL I bet you say that to EVERYONE LOL. I’m kidding. Thanks for the opportunity and for the kind words.
Cheers to a good vampire flick without any “fluff”.

I have to comment on excuses. The more we carry them around, the less chance we truly feel pressure. Some throw money at the problem, others quit, but if I have to use a cameraphone and two Vhs recorders to meet deadlines, do it. Train your mind to let it go, maybe the GL2 is rented so I’m stuck with miniDV. Robert Rodriguez said when you got no money you have to be creative and you will finish your film.
My bad I can ramble on, but I recently finished a piece virtually solo. The crew were late or show one out of a 3 day shoot, cause this and that. Free help can sometimes cost more than money, my patience, quality and time which once its gone, its not coming back.

    Gabriel and Jess,
Good luck with “Tex”. Again, thanks for the callback! I really enjoyed it. I think that Svetlana is SO perfect for Elizabeta!!! And I really liked Amber. I think with some coaching and directing, she would be an amazing multi-layered Dixie. She has a sophisticated look, which would fit a 400 year-old vampire pretty well. I think although the whole sex-whore thing is relevant, more relevant is the overall feel that this is no ordinary whore after all ;o) Just my two cents. And, dude, I am beyond flattered that you were considering me against that gorgeous other actor LOL. I mean it. Cheers and keep in touch, I would love to see the final results regardless of the fact that I get to play Tex or not. This whole thing could become a fantastic feature too. I would seriously think about it !
    Best
