Last night I watched The Crow for the first time in many years. I remember seeing it in the theatre when it came out. I was 14 and it was probably the coolest thing I’d ever seen. Some things from your childhood are disappointing when you see them again (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), and some hold up or are even better now that you more fully get it (Animaniacs), but with some you can’t tell or it doesn’t even matter because you love it so much that you’ll never change your mind about it. The Crow falls into the last category for me.
Of course this film is overshadowed by the death of Brandon Lee during shooting. As I watched it last night I was struck by something. Brandon Lee was a promising young actor who gave us a brilliant final performance that hinted at great things that would have come had his life not been cut short. And this is the makeup he wore in his last role:

Does any of that seem familiar?
Yeah.

It’s pretty freaky coincidence.

The joker’s make-up in The Dark Knight is based off The Crow’s just different colors and some tweaks.
they may seem the same but for a movie in the late 90′s the crow is by far the best dark movie ever and brandon lee( may he rest in peace) makeup was awsome and it is very sad that he left this earth so early
I love Brandon Lee as an action hero in the movies and as a martial artist in the art community its realy messed up that he deid in that film when it came out iwas like wtf dude cuz i knew it would be bad ass i mean when have u even seen a movie with Brandon Lee not kicking ass n i was shocked & i knew ther was more to it then bullets , and majic it was demons bro and if u dont realize that they exist they will play u and your emotions and try to kill u thealogicaly and realisticly so be carful , n yes it is realy mesed up that another young charesmatic talanted action hero type actor died tragicly in a movie were he was over the edge , somtimes dark roles or things choose us n we have to understand bad shit happen no matte what to good people n to good people mostly cuz god knows we got somthin inside that makes us not better or worse but shine with christ light cuz they belive in somthing better than what we are living right now , Brandon Lee also was saying in his last interview that only a certain amout of times do we have to witness or remeber things and ejnoy things so take the time to realize this is your life and love it because one day it will be gone so be glad its today and dont rush tomarow
I have never seen The Crow. It sounds like a great one to check out.
“Wow” this is weird.
Both Brandon Lee and Heath Ledger both worn makeup in big blockbuster films that did well at the box office. But do you wonder that why some people are saying playing a role of an obscure vigilantly or a villain maybe is a curse for dark films.
Is it true?
